Innokin Zenith Minimal Replacement Tank

Innokin Zenith Minimal Replacement Tank

Most people buying this already know what they want — a quiet, no-drama MTL tank that takes Z-Coils and doesn't get in the way. The Innokin Zenith Minimal is that. 2ml capacity, 510 thread, quarter-turn top fill, bottom airflow ring. Slim at 25mm. Four colours.

Not a flashy tank. Doesn't need to be. The whole Zenith Minimal thing is about keeping it simple — one tank that covers MTL through to light DTL depending on which coil you drop in and where you leave the airflow. It works on tube mods, pen batteries, standard box mods. Most things with a 510.

How It's Built

The body is stainless steel with a pyrex tube. Twenty-five millimetres wide — slimmer than most tanks at this wattage range, which matters if you're running it on a pen-style battery or a narrow tube mod. Available in Black, Gun Metal Grey, Stainless Steel, and Seven Colour (the rainbow anodised option).

Drip tip is 510. Easy to swap for whatever mouthpiece suits you — wide bore for RDL, tighter for MTL, whatever's comfortable. The top cap is quarter-turn — anticlockwise a quarter rotation, lift, fill, put it back. Quicker than a full unscrew once you're used to it.

Bottom airflow ring controls the draw character. Open it up and the Zenith Minimal becomes an RDL tank. Close it right down to a thin slot and you get proper MTL. No clicks, no resistance — it turns smoothly and stays where you set it. The coil installation is clean. Unscrew the base, push the Z-Coil in (the coil itself is the 510 connector), screw the base back. Done.

Z-Coil Range

All eight of Innokin's Z-Coils fit this tank. Box comes with two — the 0.8Ω MTL coil already in the tank, and the 0.3Ω as the spare. The rest are sold as 5-packs separately.

0.8Ω — 15–18W. The one most people stick with. Tight-ish MTL, focused flavour, good for nic salts and 50/50 liquid. Where the Zenith Minimal performs best day to day.

0.3Ω — 30–40W. Open the airflow and you've got a proper RDL draw. More vapour, less tight. Included as the spare coil. Worth trying if you've always run the 0.8Ω and wondered what the other end feels like.

0.48Ω Plex 3D Mesh — 12–16W. Mesh option. Better flavour intensity than the kanthal coils at similar wattage. Sold separately.

0.5Ω Plexus — 12–16W. Different coil construction, similar output territory. Some vapers prefer it over the Plex 3D depending on the liquid — a matter of taste.

0.6Ω Duoprime — 9–13W. The low-wattage MTL coil. Under 13W, tight draw, good for 20mg nic salt in 50/50 if you want to keep wattage right down.

Setting Up Right

Prime before you fire. A few drops of liquid on the cotton through the base, fill the tank, wait ten minutes. Ten minutes of patience saves a coil that's otherwise burnt on its first draw. Start at the low end of the wattage range — 15W for the 0.8Ω, 30W for the 0.3Ω — and take a few shorter draws before settling in. The airflow ring does the rest of the character tuning from there.

E-Liquid

50/50 or high-PG. The Innokin Zenith Minimal tank is built around MTL and RDL — the coil ports wick thin liquid well. High-VG above 60% slows down in the wicking at these wattages and the result is dry hits mid-tank, even on a coil that's been primed properly. It's not a defect, just the wrong liquid. Nic salts at 10–20mg in 50/50 pair well with the 0.8Ω. If you're running the 0.3Ω for RDL, 50/50 freebase at 3–6mg is the sensible match.

Frequently Asked Questions

  1. What coils fit the Innokin Zenith Minimal tank? All Innokin Z-Coils. The box includes the 0.8Ω (15–18W) and 0.3Ω (30–40W). The 0.48Ω Plex 3D Mesh, 0.5Ω Plexus, and 0.6Ω Duoprime are sold as 5-packs separately. All push-fit into the base.
  2. What e-liquid should I use with the Innokin Zenith Minimal tank? 50/50 or high-PG. High-VG above 60% doesn't wick fast enough at MTL wattages and causes dry hits. Nic salts in 50/50 suit the 0.8Ω well. The 0.3Ω at 30–40W handles 50/50 freebase at lower strengths without issue.
  3. How do I fill the Innokin Zenith Minimal tank? Quarter-turn top fill. Anticlockwise a quarter turn on the top cap, lift it off, fill to 2ml, replace. Tank stays on the mod throughout. Takes about five seconds once you've done it a few times.
  4. Does the Innokin Zenith Minimal tank fit my mod? 510 thread. If the mod has a 510 connection and puts out between 9–40W (depending on coil), it fits. The 25mm base works on slim tube mods and pen batteries as well as standard box mods — most setups in the UK market are fine.
  5. How does the airflow adjustment work? Rotary ring at the bottom of the tank. Turn it to open or close the slots. Fully open gives a wide RDL to light DTL draw. Narrow it down to one small slot for tight MTL. No clicks — it's smooth and stays put between sessions.
  6. Can I use a different drip tip on the Innokin Zenith Minimal tank? Yes. It takes any standard 510 drip tip. If the one included is too narrow for RDL or doesn't suit your preference, any aftermarket 510 mouthpiece fits straight in.
